ABOUT US

Beacon Marketing Solutions was founded in 2001 in suburban Philadelphia by owner/president Janet Chambers, who started the firm after a long career in corporate marketing and the advertising agency business. In 2004, Chambers and her husband relocated to the Huntingdon area to be near Raystown Lake and State College.

Chambers brings to each client project a depth of marketing knowledge garnered over more than 25 years in marketing and sales. Her career includes experience in sales and sales management, advertising agency services, and senior marketing positions with companies in the healthcare, banking, manufacturing and service industries. She oversees every project personally, and directs freelancers such as graphic designers, photographers, and web technicians when needed. Her strengths include:

Chambers, who holds a B.A. in marketing from Michigan State University, has taught business and marketing courses at the college level. She has completed graduate course work at Temple University, Philadelphia, and is a graduate of the Sandler Sales Institute. In addtition, she currently serves on the board for the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce and is the secretary/treasurer of the Huntingdon Area School District Educational Foundation. She gives presentations on marketing-related topics to business organizations within the community.

As a hands-on marketer, she is proficient in the following software applications: Adobe InDesign CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Dreamweaver CS4 and all Microsoft products.
