Developing Effective Sales Literature
Here are some guidelines we have found help in establishing what types of materials should be created: Basic Overview of Company/Services -- If the piece will be mailed often, we usually recommend a 3-fold brochure, sometimes called a Slim Jim. The brochure can include a tear-off return card or a punch-out rolodex card. Since this format is an easy-to-read size, it is usually used in many situations including as a trade show hand-out, with an initial inquiry letter or as a leave behind at an initial sales call. Capabilities Brochure -- This piece is often 4 to 12 pages ( 8.5" x 11") and details the company services and products. The capabilities brochure may contain product specifications, information on how products are made or other information to convince prospects about the superior qualities or attributes of the product/service. Capability information can also be in the form of stepped sheets or individual sell sheets. Self-Mailer -- A self-mailer can be of different sizes including an 8.5" x 11" 3-fold or 2-fold brochure, to a custom size or die-cut piece. The main purpose of the piece is often to give a brief overview of the company for general distribution to prospects and/or customers. Often the piece includes an offer, tear-off return card or directions to a web address. We work with graphic designers, photographers and illustrators to create the best look for your company and budget. Our relationships with many area printers assures competitive pricing on all printing. |
